7:30 p.m for 8 p.m., 8th November 2016
For the Astwood Bank Carnival Committee this is our favourite event of the year as we get to hand out money to local groups and charities. Hearing how they are going to spend all of the money that has been raised through the year is extremely rewarding. It’s the culmination of the hard work of the committee throughout the year, but vitally the support of the residents and businesses of Astwood Bank.
Please join us to hear where all of the hard earned money is going to be spent and help us develop our plans for the year ahead.
We hope everyone has enjoyed the extra splash of colour we have been able to provide to the village during the summer months. Our thanks go out to everyone who has contributed to maintaining the displays whether they be the beds, the large planters or the wooden troughs under the street signs. During October you will see the major displays being replanted for the Autumn / Spring with funding provided by our local county councillors Philip Gretton and Stuart Cross.
Support our Mass Bulb Planting – Saturday November 5th 13:30 to 15:30
Redditch Borough Council have very kindly donated 2,000 daffodil bulbs to Astwood Bank in Bloom. So we want as many people as possible to come out for an hour or two that afternoon and help us plant up the village to give a spectacular display in the Spring. If you think you might want to come along just drop a quick email to Colin Bates at firstname.lastname@example.org
