Bollywood Night a Great Success

What a great night!

Thanks to Sam and all the Little India team, Sunday night went really well! It was great to see Little India full for both sittings with a great atmosphere and so many of you dressing for the occasion. Amazing both the children and adults alike we also had magician, Sam Wilson, who will also be joining us for events later this year.

As well as having fun the aim of the event was to raise funds for Astwood Bank Carnival, which in turn gets distributed amongst local groups. Building on a similar event two years ago, Little India made an extremely generous donation from the evening of £700, and in addition over £200 was raised through a raffle.

Deborah Bates from Astwood Bank Carnival team commented on the event. “We love working with local businesses to help us in our objective of ensure that Astwood Bank is a great community to be part of it. Organising events like this really shows what a brilliant place it is to live and with Little India’s support we’ve managed to raise significant funds that we can redistribute around the community. It has got everyone in the party mood, and just before Carnival day on July 14th!”

Shamol Ahmed (Sam), manager and owner of Little Indiacommented.“We love supporting our local community, and the staff really look forward to this fun event. I’m really pleased that we had so much support both in the build-up and on the night. Now we are looking forward to being part of the Carnival by serving food during the afternoon of July 14thdown on the Carnival field.”

As well as a DJ helping the party carry on, all of the guests were entertained by local magician Sam Wilson.
