The jewel in the crown of the Astwood Bank community has to be this very special day when everyone has a role to play. Whether you want to parade you and your group on a float, enter as a walking group, be one of our marching bands, have a stall on the carnival field, or even perform on the Carnival field, or just be one of the thousands who line the streets of Astwood Bank to take part in your own special way this is always a great day.
It’s a chance for local groups, organisations, charities, schools, the church, businesses and families to get creative in how they want to enjoy their day and join in with the rest of the community, and even make new friends. So get designing those floats, think about how you want to decorate your house and street, and organise those friends to just join in the fun.
If you want to apply to be part of this year’s Carnival Royalty please do use the form at the bottom of this page
The procession will start as ever from SE Davis at 12:00, and return to the carnival field at 14:00, where we will be entertained by several acts throughout the afternoon. If you are looking to be refreshed there will be the beer tent, the Pimms Tent and the ever popular Tea Tent being run by the Operatic Society. Rotary Club are kindly running the children’s games area, and we have a major act for this year’s arena which we’ll tell you about shortly.
As with every year there is a theme to help our procession participants, and the Ridgeway school when designing their shields to line Evesham Road with, and this year the theme is Storytime.
