Welcome

Here in Astwood Bank we have combined Fund Raising and Fun and this has

become the key to the success of our Carnival which since 1988 has raised over

£190,000 for local charities.

Astwood Bank Carnival is all about Community involvement bringing together the

local schools, the cricket club, various social and self help groups, the churches and

the pubs to create a fun atmosphere within the fund raising events that run

throughout the year.  Carnival Day is the culmination of these endeavours.

We are always on the lookout for new ideas so if you think of something which might

fit into our programme of entertainment or fund raising events we would be pleased to

hear of it.

Also we would like to hear what you think about our Carnival efforts. So if you have

the time and the inclination to make suggestions, please let us know what you do like

and don't like.  Come on, don't be shy, tell us, we're all ears.

Each year in July we hold a public meeting at which we debate the current year’s

Carnival Day and present cheques to the Charities we are supporting.  We would love

to have you attend and hear your points of view so take a look at our diary and

make a note of the date.
