Sunday 21st October 14:00 – 16:00 meet at the traffic lights
Now in its third year the Astwood Bank in Bloom team are looking for help in planting over 2,000 more daffodils around our village, to add to the 4,000 plus we have already planted. Come along and bring a spade and help us make an even more spectacular display for next Spring.
In addition to the bulb planting this year we are delighted to work with the Royal British Legion in marking the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War. To do this we will be attaching large poppies to each of the trees along Evesham Road.

Chairman of the Astwood bank branch of the Royal British Legion commented:
“The way that the Astwood Bank community will come together to mark the 100th Anniversary of the end of the First World War, both on the day but also in preparation for it by placing poppies on so many trees along Evesham Road, is a true example of how communities remember those who gave so much. In particular we’d like to thank the Astwood Bank Carnival Committee and the Astwood Bank in Bloom team for helping us all mark this occasion. It seems vey fitting that Remembrance Sunday this year takes place on 11th November, and we hope that many will join us in remembering.”
So we need people to help us put these up. It will certainly make a stunning display for both the residents and for those passing through, and we hope a fitting tribute to those who gave so much for our freedom. We’ll be doing this at the same time as the bulb planting, so just come along to the traffic lights at 14:00 on Sunday 21st October.
