Recall all of the fun of the 2019 Astwood Bank Carnival on this great video. See if you can spot yourselves!
Last Thursday the Astwood Bank Community Group, thanks to your support, were able to hand out over £6,000 in grants to local groups and organisations.
Pictured below are the lucky recipients at the Awards evening that took place at Ridgeway Academy.
If you haven’t seen them yet the Christmas lights along Evesham Road have now been switched on and are making the area look very festive. They will be on every night right throughout the seasonal festivities. Why not take a stroll around the Bank and enjoy them?
Thanks in particular to the Christmas lights team who are part of the Astwood Bank Community Group for making this happen, but none of this is possible without the community’s support. If you want to get involved in organising next year’s Christmas lights display (hopefully bigger and better again) just email email@example.com

Astwood Bank in Bloom have got some exciting plans for 2020 with a number of key projects being developed for the whole community to get involved with. Working in partnership with the Council we are examining opportunities in both Astwood bank Park and Overdale park. More information will be made available at the Open Awards evening on 28th November at Ridgeway Academy, starting at 20:00. This will be a great opportunity to feed into those plans and perhaps even identify how you might want to get involved.

Come and help the Astwood Bank Community Group celebrate another fantastic year of fundraising and fun.
The annual awards open meeting is exactly that, an evening open to all residents, visitors, community groups, supporters and potential supporters. It is a night where we can see that all the events put on over the year were not just for fun and community spirit, and were well worth the hard work, as we give out money to local groups and charities.
Groups and charities were invited to submit funding requests to the committee in advance, those applications have been reviewed and funding is awarded at the Awards Evening.
At the event we hear a little from those groups and charities about how the money will be spent and what it will actually mean to the members and users of those groups.
It is a lovely, heart-warming evening that affirms why we all work so hard to put on events throughout the year.
This year especially, we would like to encourage people to come along, especially if you have never attended before, to find out more about how the funds raised help and support the community. You can speak to the committee members informally and perhaps find out how you may be able to support an event in the future. The evening is a wonderful celebration of community spirit that will warm your heart and put a smile on your face!
